The Pipeline board lays out every opportunity the account pursues, from first contact to won or lost. All business roles work the board; it loads up to 200 opportunities at a time.

The board

Six fixed columns hold the funnel, in order:

Stage
Identified
Qualified
Proposed
Negotiation
Won
Lost

The first four are open stages; Won and Lost close the deal. Above the columns, a summary strip aggregates the open funnel:

FigureDefinition
Open valueCombined estimated value of open opportunities
Weighted valueOpen value multiplied by each opportunity’s probability
Open opportunitiesCount of open opportunities
WonCount of won opportunities

Each card shows the opportunity name, client, estimated value, probability, and expected close date. Open a card to reach the opportunity detail.

Create an opportunity

  1. Choose New opportunity.
  2. Pick the Client.
  3. Enter the Opportunity name.
  4. Set the Stage. The picker offers the four open stages, defaulting to Identified.
  5. Set the Probability (%), a whole number from 0 to 100.
  6. Optionally set the Expected close date and the Estimated value.
  7. Choose Create opportunity.

Move an opportunity

The detail page carries a six-step stage stepper under the opportunity name. Click a stage to move the opportunity there. Moves between open stages apply at once.

Closing the deal asks for confirmation:

  • Winning (Mark this opportunity as won?) keeps the opportunity’s quotes attached.
  • Losing (Mark this opportunity as lost?) keeps the deal on the record. The move cannot be reversed from the board.

The detail page offers Create mission from any stage; the mission form is prefilled with the opportunity’s client, locked. See Missions.

A closed opportunity shows its Closed timestamp in the header.

Edit the facts

Probability, Expected close, and Estimated value are inline editors in the header. Change a value and leave the field. The change saves on its own.

Log activities

The Activities tab keeps a timeline of the pursuit.

  1. Open Log an interaction.
  2. Pick the Kind: Call, Meeting, Email, or Note.
  3. Enter the Subject, the Occurred at date, and any Notes.
  4. Choose Log activity.

Entries render in the Timeline. Remove one with confirmation when it no longer belongs.

Quotes and cleanup

The Quotes tab lists the quotations raised against the opportunity, with quick Send, Accept, Decline, and PDF actions. See Quotes.

Delete removes the opportunity permanently and detaches its quotes. The confirmation dialog spells this out before you proceed.
