A consultant profile is the staffable resource record of the account: who the person is, what they cost per day, and where they stand. Profiles live on the Consultants page, visible to every role. The rows are narrowed by the server: an administrator sees every profile, while any other user sees only their own linked profile and the consultants they manage. A profile is separate from any login - it represents capacity and cost, while a login is merely how the person reaches the platform.

Fields

  • Full name and Title (for example, Senior Backend Engineer).
  • Daily cost, in the account currency. Visible to admin, operations, and executive only.
  • Profile picture, up to 5 MB. Leave it blank to use the default picture.
  • Employment status: Active (in the workforce) or Inactive (left the workforce).
  • Manager: any user of the account. Naming a manager makes that user the team leader for this consultant.

Platform access

When creating a profile, choose one of three options:

  • No platform access - the profile exists purely as a resource.
  • Link to an existing user - attach the profile to a login that already exists.
  • Invite a new user - raise an invitation so the person gains a login on arrival.

Every consultant may optionally have their own login on the platform; none is required.

Linking and unlinking users

A user can be linked to only one consultant profile; attempting to link a user who is already linked elsewhere is refused. Leaving the link empty when saving a profile clears it. The link is what unlocks the self-service surfaces - own timesheets, My assignments, time off, and expenses - for the linked user, whatever their role. See Roles and access.

Statuses

StatusMeaning
ActiveComputed: the consultant holds an active assignment.
BenchComputed: no active assignment.
InactiveSet by hand: the consultant has left the workforce.

Bench is derived automatically from active assignments and cannot be set by hand; the only status you choose is the employment status.

Detail tabs

  • Assignments - the missions this consultant is staffed on, with billing rate, dates, and status.
  • Timesheets - declared work days, one sheet per period; an administrator can create a sheet manually.
  • Time off - Time-off requests, with their approval workflow.
  • Staffing - declared days versus capacity, with the forward forecast from active assignments.

Deleting a consultant

An administrator can delete a consultant profile from the Consultants page.
